T shows the picture of school and have ss to introduce our school with the sentence pattern: What do we have in our school?We have a ... (gym, swimming pool and playground)

T lead in the topic of food pyramid by guiding ss to talk about the activities they join and the strong body they need. T then ask ss “What do we need for a healthy body?”

T introduce the food pyramid from the bottom to the top.

First come out with the picture of “rice’ then teach the word.

The word teaching of “vegetable ” and “meat”, use a chant to practice the prounication and the sentence pattern.

After introduce “rice/vegerable/meat/ fruit”, T: Besides the food we need to eat, we also need something healthy to drink. Then teach the word “juice”. The phonic teaching of the combination letter “ui”.

T teach the word “sugar” after “salt”. T: ”Sometimes we also need some sugar to flavor the drinking”

T have ss read the new words together again to practice the pronounciation.
