八.Teaching Procedure:

Step 1 leading

Greet.

Share a vedio called “a bite of China”with students, then lead out the main topic “cook”. According to the vedio and the topic, ask students some questions.

Step 2 Presentation

Show a picture of “fried rice”, lead out the topic “How to make fried rice?”

Let students discuss“what ingredients do we need ?”. Learn the new words “ingredient” “cooked meat” “oil” “pan”.

Listen and number the sentences. Give the first impression of 1a to students.

cut some cooked meat very finely.

add the rice slowly.

add some salt.

put some oil in the pan.

Listen again and complete the blanks for noticing the verbs of cooking.

Show the pictures of how to cook fried rice to lead to the adverbs of sequence. Then, ask students to describe the sequence of how to make fried rice in English according to the pictures.

Open the book, read 1a and answer the questions.
