Analysis of the students:

This unit covers vocabulary, phrases and concepts associated with after-school activities. Students learned to talk about their interests and what they liked to do after school and on the weekends. In this lesson, students will talk about recent past events and learn to use “be going to” to express the future tense.

Teaching procedures:

本节课是本单元的最后一课,本单元主要讨论周末活动和个人兴趣,Lesson 24 对这一单元的重点进行了总结性的学习,既包括一般过去时态的使用,又对一般将来时态进行了总结。在教学过程中,学生参与度较高,运用竞赛的形式展开复习,充分调动了学生的积极性,运用合作交流,互相探究等方法,促进了学生之间互相了解,让学生自己安排周末计划,在运用所学知识的同时,也培养了自己独立思考,多安排有意义的事情的情操。
