设计说明:通过复习第七单元how to live a healthy life .把学生引入到英语环境;通过复习吃的,自然导入本课教学课题

Step 2 Presentation

Show some pictures of clothes on the screen, like a skirt, a dress, a raincoat, a jacket and so on. When showing these pictures, asks students: “What’s this?” Then present all new words with pictures and guide students to read them for 3 times.

Turn to Page 82. 2 A. Look at the pictures and fill in the boxes with the words given.

设计说明:通过多媒体展示,让学生直观地学习单词,再通过图片与新单词的联系,巩固新单词,为下一步有关服装的听力做准备。

Listen to B and number the pictures.

T: How many people are there in A?

Ss: 6 students.

T: Right. Listen to the tape and number the pictures.

设计说明:单词操练完后,有关服装的听力就相对容易了。利用听力部分自然过渡到1a,使学生听的能力得到训练。

Step3 Look,listen and say

Show a picture of Maria and Jane on the screen. Asks: Who are they? What’s Maria wearing? Yes, she is wearing a Chinese Tang costume. She feels very happy. Listen to the tape, and circle True or False. Finish 1b.

Ask the students to follow the tape. Then read the dialog together and get students to act it out.

The teacher explain the new words.Then ask students to find out the key points.

The teacher shows one “so…that” sentence from 1a, next explains it and then leads students to practice more.

T:Look at the “so +adj./adv.+that” sentence structure. Here so is followed by an adj. or an adv. What does this sentence mean?

Ss: It means 如此---以至于---

T:Great! Now please try your best to complete 1c.

Ask students to retell the story according to the key wards:

Look great ----a nice coat ---a chinese Tang costume---feel soft--so that---buy some new coats---have a class fashion show---next Monday---go shopping---meet---gate---8 a.m.

设计说明:听、读、说、表演及学生自已找出现1a中含 “so---that”的句子,老师帮助学生理解此结构并配合1c的对应练习。

Step 4. Consolidation

Show some pictures on the screen. Help students to understand the structure so---that---.The teacher asks students to make more sentences by using so---that---.
