【教学过程】
Step 1 Warming-up and lead in
1.课前播放《说天下》关于我国神舟飞船的视频，进行文化知识的渗透，为学生阅读作好知识上和兴趣上的准备。
2.Tell students：Tell the students we will learn a passage about the universe.
3.Ask the students：“Do you want to know more about universe?”播放相关视频。(播放视频之前，告诉学生看视频后回答What can you see?）
学生回答：I see.............
Tell Students：“We’ll learn more about universe by reading the passage on P 38.”
Step 2 Reading
Task 1 Look at the picture and Skim the passage,finish the following task.
What’s the main idea of this passage?_____
A.What people think of universe.
B.what do the scientist do ?
C.what do you want to do ?.
