Step 1 leading in

.Show some pictures of the earth. First show some pictures that are very beautiful. Then some pictures about the earth are polluted .let students know we have only one earth and we should protect it. Leading in the new text

Step 2 Presentation

1. Listen to the tape and answer the following questions

(1) Would Michael like to be a greener person?

(2) What would you take when you go shopping2. Let students find the key phrases and write them down on the blackboard

For example:

3. Make sentences using the phrases

S1: You ought to clean the classroom.

S2: You’d better not cut down the trees.

4 .Guess the proverbs’ meanings

5. Give them a new proverb and let them guess its meaning. If his or her answer is right, I’ll give him or her a prize

Step 3 Consolidation

1. Practice the dialogue freely

T: Please read the dialogue loudly and then practice it with your partner, then we’ll have a competition, at last let’s see which group is the best

2. Show the pictures of 1b on the screen
