As we all know, Project Hope was started in 1989 in China. It is set up to help poor children, especially those in mountain areas. It helps build new schools by raising or donating money. Books, food and clothes are handed out among children. Sometimes, it even sends volunteer teachers with much experience to teach in those schools. As a result, not only the children are given basic education but also the local teachers are trained well.
