Step 1. Lead-in

Step 2. Learning about school life in the UK
1. Teacher: High school is a time of discovery, learning and hard work! Look at the pictures on page 1. They show some parts of high school life in the UK.
2. [Pairwork] Go through the four pictures. Find details of school life in the UK in pairs.
3. Ask Ss to report what they have found in the pictures.
4. [Pictures]Teacher can cite more information from a UK school website.
Step 3. Comparing school life in China and the UK
List a chart showing the differences between school life in China and school life in the UK.
Ask Ss to give a brief introduction of the differences with the help of the chart.
Step 4. Designing an ideal school
