Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Introduction
1.Begin the class by asking students “1).What’s the weather like today? 2).What have you enjoyed on the way to this classroom?”
2. We live in Lianyungang where there are many tourist attractions, can you name some ?Then show some beautiful pictures.
3.A short discussion:1)In your opinion, how can tourists, from both home and abroad, come to visit Lianyungang?Many people believe that the train is a good means for travelling around, but for a big city with a large population and many buildings, it is impossible for a train to get to the center. So the underground appears to transport people.
Step 2: Lead in
1. Could you name the big cities in China which have the underground ?
2. Do you know the first underground in the world? How much do you know about it?

(1)Show a picture of a tourist brochure and ask students what a brochure is used for.
(2) Help students to list information they will get from the brochure of the first underground in the world.
