I. lead-in 导入
通过图片引出本节课的话题painting，然后让学生列举他们所知道的绘画形式，进而补充介绍。
II. warming-up热身
接着给学生展示一些中西方著名画家和画作，并让学生归纳出中西绘画的特点the features of chinese /western painting。
III. pre-reading 读前
让学生对比中西方绘画艺术哪个变化更大，which do you think has a greater change? why? 从而引出本节阅读课的课文——“a short history of western painting”
IV. reading 阅读
设置相应练习，让学生通过速读，了解文章大意what’s the main idea of this passage?
