Step 1 Revision

2 Learn the new expression of the time and try to let the students sum up the rules. Then ask them to translate more time phrases.

Step 3 Pair work

1 Read the instructions, and finish 1a alone. Then check the answer.

2 Learn “when” questions and let the student make the dialogues .

3 The students act out the dialogues and are ready for 1b.

Step 4 Listening

1 Read the instruction in 1b and play the tape twice. Let the students finish 2b alone. Check the answers.

2 Play the tape again and finish 1c.Check the answers in class.

Step 5 Practice

1 According to the listening material, the students can use the new sentences to write a passage about Tom.
