Teaching procedure:

2.Ask Ss “Do you like watching TV? What kind of TV shows do you like watching ?”,then lead in .

?To arouse Ss’ interests and elicit the topic.Step 2 Brainstorm

Let Ss have a brainstorm the words of TV shows.To activate Ss’ knowledge about TV shows.Step 3 Presentation

1.New words

2.Sentence structures 1.Present the new words about TV shows.

2.Let Ss match the words about TV shows with the pictures.

3.Have Ss listen and number the shows 1-4 in the order they hear them.Make the Ss get to know the new words better.

Make sure all the students can understand the new words properly.

Improve the students’ ability of listening. 1. Present the sentence structures by asking the students’ opinions about TV shows .

2. Sum up the key points.To help students master the sentence structures.Step 4. Pair work

1.Practice the conversation with the students.

2.Have Ss make their own conversation with their group members. By practicing and making conversations ,let students master the sentence structures and develop Ss’ ability of asking and showing their opinions about TV shows.Step 5. GameHave Ss write down what they want to watch and why , and then have a discussion about what their classmates in other groups want to watch and why? When they guess right , say “Bing GO!”, then they can get two points.To arouse the students interest again and improve their abilities of guessing, help them show their opinions better.Step 6: Thinking Tell Ss the correct attitude about watching TV.To help Ss form the right attitude about watching TV.Step 7:SummarySum up the sentence structure.To consolidate what have learnt.

Homework:

Write a report to talk about what classmates want to watch and the reason.
