Step 1 Lead in

Show students the dialogue that I had with my friend about the coming summer vacation.

Step 2 Pre-reading

Guess: What is the e-mail about?

Step 3 While reading

1. Ask students to correct the five wrong words.

thcik---thick, frezzing---freezing, suceed---succeed, acheve---achieve, forse---force

2.Match the words with Chinese.

3.Skimming: read the article and match each paragraph with the main ideas.

4. Scanning & summarizing: Read the passage from paragraph 1---3

Help students to get the important information in paragraph 1

(1) Fill in the chart and get the useful information.

(2) Check the answers of the chart by playing games/ answering questions.

The questions are:
