Step 1: Warm-up

T: Now we are learning Unit 9 :the present perfect tense

--Have you ever been to……?

---No, I haven’t. / No, never. How about you? (Yes, I have.)

---- Me neither. / Neither have I. (So have I.)

T: What do you like to do when you are free ?

S:

T: I like going for a trip. I have been to many places.

S: Work with a partner to talk about the most interesting place you have ever been to.

T: I often go these places. (Show students some pictures of museums)

Step 2: Work on 3a

T: Look at the pictures and discuss it with your partner .

What are the pictures about?

Today I will introduce some museums for you.

First :

Many students like to visit museum. Ken has been to a computer museum. He learned a lot about computers

Computers are very useful in our daily life. Such as: teaching、shopping、playing games and so on. Do you want to know more about them? You can go to the American Computer Museum

Show students a set of pictures of computers from the oldest to the latest.

Learn the new phrases: invent, unbelievable, progress, rapid(explain them in English)

What do you think is the most interesting thing about each museum?
