三、教学过程
Step Ⅰ. Check the preview.
1. Greeting.
2. Check the preview检查导学案Part 1 部分的完成情况并核对答案。
【设计意图：通过三组词块和四个重要句型的翻译练习，来复习和巩固本单元前面部分所学重点，并为后面的口语输出和书面表达做准备。】
3. Brainstorm.
【设计意图：本活动通过头脑风暴的形式再现前文中所提到的各国文化习俗和餐桌礼仪，吸引学生的注意力，考察学生对细节知识的掌握情况，同时引入中国的传统习俗。】
Step Ⅱ. Before writing
Step 1 Discussion (work on 3a)
Show some pictures about Chinese table manners, house rules and going out with people, have students discuss about these in groups of four.
【设计意图：让学生自由发挥各种习俗并用英语表达，可能有点困难，但若是提供一些相应的图片给学生做支撑，问题就显得容易一些，学生可以在较短的时间内口头表达这些习俗，并用重点句型。】
Step 2 Talk about the letter in activity 3b, analysis the writing framework, then complete the letter orally, the discussion just now can help them a lot. Then read your passages to your partners.
(教师分析写作框架后，学生口头练习完成信件的写作，请一个同学展示。)
【设计意图：通过教师的分析，让学生理解主题句、细节句以及结尾句的意义和用法，并完成口头写作，本设计稍有难度，但是前面大量的复习和练习为本设计奠定了基础，这个难点实际上是可以突破的。】
Step 3 Have students analysis the framework of another writing, then complete the writing orally again.
【设计意图：本设计看起来是在重复上一个设计，其实不然，通过PPT可以发现，上一篇作文是课本80页3b中的不完整的作文，教师介绍通过此文介绍写作框架，并组织语言进行创作。而本设计是给学生一篇用图片代替细节的作文，连接词也进行了重新设计，让学生能学习到不同的介绍细节句的连接词，给学生更多的写作的可能性。这一次让学生分析写作框架，也是考察学生对所学内容的灵活运用能力，接着根据所给图片和衔接词再次进行口头作文练习时，需要用到不同的句型结构来组织细节中的6个习俗，这样的设计能避免文章写作比较单一，犹如罗列信息。因此，这个设计比上一个设计更有挑战性一些。更能锻炼学生的运用和总结归纳的能力。】
III. While writing
1. Give a topic of a letter, let students learn to examine the title, make sure the type of writing, tense, person, the topic and the detail points.
2. Have students write a letter to the American friend Jack, attention the framework they learned just now.
【设计意图：本节课是写作课，3b的写作相对比较简单，于是将其设计为口头写作，本设计是全文写作，需要学生根据前面的学习和练习，有创造性地组织写作，更能考研学生对所学知识的灵活运用能力。这是本课时的一个难点，在10分钟时间完成80词作业的写作，需要学生高度的专注力。】
Ⅳ. After writing
1. Read your letter, then check and correct the mistakes, after that you can mark your letter, the full mark is ten.
【设计意图：完成写作后，引导学生阅读并修改作文的错误，然后根据评分标准表为自己的作文评分。本设计重在培养学生写作后的检查习惯，同时学会欣赏自己的习作并为自己的习作评分，提高学生写作的积极性。】
2. Exchange your letter with your partners, find out and write T for topic sentences, D for detail sentences, E for ending sentences. Wave the beautiful phrases and sentences, underline the mistakes and correct it.
【设计意图：通常学生很难客观地看待自己的习作，本设计通过相互批改的方式，引导学生对刚才所学习的写作技巧再次进行操练，并找出别人的优点及不足之处，这也是一种很好的、真实的学习。】
VII. Summary and open your eyes to the world.
1. Let students think and talk about what they have learnt in this lesson.
【设计意图：让学生总结本节课所学，能促进学生思考和总结，比教师自己总结的效果好很多。】
2. There are many strange table manners for us in some countries, introduce more about them and open their eyes to the world. Then we should respect them instead of laughing at them. Then we are supposed to follow them as the old saying goes: When in Rome, do as Romans do.
