Step I Warm-up

Greet students as usual.

2.Lead in.

T: Before the class, let’s watch a short video about the Shylock who is judging a murder case.(观看夏洛克断案的短视频,激发学生的好奇心,便于导入新课,活跃课堂气氛。)

Step II. Presentation

T: After watching it, do you want to be a person ,like Shylock who has excellent mind? If you do, we must learn another usage of modal verbs expressing speculation.

Watch the mini class to present the grammar. (观看微课视频,语法先导,锻炼了学生的自学能力,体现了学生的主体性。)

Step III. Practice

1.Write the things you see in the correct columns in the chart(1a).

2. Listen to the record and finish 1b.

3. Make conversations with partner like the sample conversation in 1c. Use the information in 1b.(1c)

4. Teacher :In our daily life, we might lost our things, at the same time, we also pick up other’s things. Bob and Anna found a schoolbag at the park. Listen to the record .What ‘s inside? Whose schoolbag is this?

Listen to the record twice and finally check the answers.(2a,2b)

5.Complete the conversation in 2c.
