Teaching procedure:

StepⅠ Warm up

Greeting

Greet students as usual.

Revision

Ask students some questions about the inventions we learned last class. Show some questions about the telephone and tea on the screen. Ask some students to give answers.

Step Ⅱ.Presentation

Show the pictures of some fruit and vegetables.Lead students to think about their names and tastes.

T:What are they called?

How do they taste?

Teach the new words salty,crispy,sour,sweet. Teach other words like customer, by mistake….

Teach activities 1a and 1b.

These two parts are designed to provide students with vocabulary practice.

(1).Ask students to read the new words and phrases.

(2).Show students the pictures of 1a on the screen .

Call students' attention to the picture and read the instructions to the class.

Ask: What kind of food can you see? How do they taste?

Ask students to think about them. Then ask students to choose the words from the box to describe them. Ask some students to give the answers. Finally, write down the words below each picture.

(3).Call students' attention to the box in 1b and point at the example ,then read the instructions to the class.

T:Can you think of other food that tastes sweet/crispy?

What food tastes salty/sour?
