Step2 Lead in

The teacher calls any number and students who gets the number should say “I’m here.”

Or the teacher asks” ...,what’s your number?” and the students should tell the teacher the number.

The teacher gives five to each student and counts from1-32.

Q1: How many students are there in our class? (32)

(设计意图:通过学生对数字牌的认读,还有1-32的数数再次快速巩固复习数字,为本节课下面价格表达作铺垫。)

Q2: Where can we see numbers?

The teacher presents some price tags and help students to know numbers can be used as price.

Step3 Presentation---Fun time

The teacher shows some pictures about the most popular programme in the USA, and illustrates the rules of the guessing game:Who guesses the closest price can get the present.

(设计意图:用美国最风靡的猜价格节目变为类似的课堂活动,既能吸引学生,也把句型How much is it/are they?逐渐渗透出来。)

The teacher concludes that “We can buy things with the sentence structure---How much is it?”

Step4 Presentation---Cartoon time

Q1:Where can we buy things?(In the shop.)

Look! Whose shop is it? ( Mr pig’s shop )

T: Today, let’s come to Mr pig’s shop.

Q2: Who are they? ( Bobby, Sam, Mr pig )

(设计意图:先通过快速扫读的方式以一些简单的问题切入,也让学生明白对话发生的地点以及对话中的人物。)

Q3: If you were Mr pig, what would you say to Bobby and Sam?

Lead into the sentence “ Can I help you?” “What would you like?” “Welcome to my shop.”...

(设计意图:以购物的日常用语切入,情境教学,学生能掌握句子的语用功能。)

Q4: What would Bobby like? Bowknots.
