Step 1 warming up &free talk

1.Greeting

2.Free talk:师:Where do you live? How do you go to school?

生:I live in ... I go to school by bus/by car/on foot.

师追问:You home is near/far from school. Yes?

生:Yes.

3.Suggestions.Show a map.师:I live in Jin Shanqiao. Far from here. How do I get to your school? Can you give me some suggestions?出示句型,You can get here by____ / You can take the_____.

4.师:I don't know where your school is. What can I do?引导生回答:You can ask the policeman for help.呈现图,师:Today , I use Mobile Navigation to get here. I can also ask someone for help. So, let's start our new lesson. Unit 3 Asking the way.

5.look at today's learning aims.

师:I can understand and read the story fluently. Can you?

I can try to retell the story. Can you?

I can show others the way . Can you?

师:Ok. Let's start.

Step 2 Pre-reading

1.出示课文图。师:Yang Ling wants to visit Su Hai's new home. Please listen carefully and say out the places you've heard.生听课文录音,说出所听到的文中出现的地点。

引导生说出: Park Station, City Library Station, bookshop等。师及时板贴。

2.出示地铁站图,教学metro station.随后出示徐州地铁图,师:Xuzhou will have our own metro next year.

3.出示书店图,教学bookshop.

Step 3. While-reading

1.师:Now, please read the first part of the story, and underline the phrases about showing the way.生读课文第一部分,划出文中指路的短语。选生回答。

2.师适时出现两幅图,问:Which one is "next to"?让生选择,同时帮助学生比较next to和near的差别。

3.PPT出示:师举例讲解take the metro =go to …by metro,Walk to…=go to …on foot.

4.Happy reading. Follow the PPT, read part 1.

5. Group work:小组合作,试着给杨玲指路,选一人汇报。师选生说,同时板贴短语:get on , get off , walk to, next to. 师及时板贴,逐步形成思维导图。

6.师:Yang Ling is on Sun Street now. Can Yang Ling find the bookshop? 生:No.

师:What does she do? 引导生说:She asks a policeman for help.

7.师:How to ask the policeman? 生:Excuse me,how do I get to the bookshop on Moon Street? 师继续追问:What else can we ask the way? 引导生说:Where is...?/Can you tell me the way to...?等。师最后强调:向别人寻求帮助时,我们应该先说Excuse me以示礼貌。
