Step 1 Greeting

1.T: Watch the story again and review. Now let’s do some exercise.

Ss try to ask questions, the other students try to answer

A:What are ...doing ?

B:They’re ...

A:What is ... doing ?

B:He’s/She’s ...

2. 出示课文表示现在进行时态的一个句子,让生将剩余的全部找出来。

Step 3 Grammar time

1.出示grammar 中的句子

T: Who can try to read? (Ss read)

2.T: Just now, you made a lot of sentences with V-ing, try to find the structures of these sentences .

学生根据例句,寻找规律。

学生试说规律,教师总结。

T: What+be+主语+doing? 主语+be+动词-ing. (板书)

The tense of these is the present continuous tense. We use the present continuous tense to talk about things that are happening now.

Three forms of present participle.

Generally,we just add -ing to verbs.

If a verb ends with a silent "e",we leave out this "e" and then add -ing.

If a verb ends with a stressed closed syllable,we double the last consonant letter and then add -ing.

4.T: Let’s do some practice.

教师出示grammar 中的动词,do, clean, cook, eat, help, wash and watch,学生小组讨论动名词形式。

Have a check.

出示一些图片

T: It’s so easy for you, do you want a difficult one? This time , you should say a whole sentence.(学生根据所示图片,试着用现在进行时态表述)

Step 4 Fun time

Sing a song.

T: well done! Boys and girls, let’s relax, sing a song< what are you doing?>. You can follow it if you want.(学生跟唱,可自由发挥加上动作等。)
