II. Teaching objectives

1. Knowledge objectives:

①The students can master some new words and expressions as: careless, helmet, light-colored, be in danger, get a fine, get hurt, break the traffic rules

②The students can use the adverbial clauses of condition.

2. Skill objectives:

The students can hear the words and dialogues about traffic rules.

The students can talk about traffic rules.

The students can read and write the passage about the topic of traffic rules.

3. Emotional objectives: The students can understand the traffic rules better and obey them in their daily life.

III. The Analysis of Methods

1.Teaching Methods:

The Task-based teaching method and the Competition teaching method can increase the class efficiency, arouse the Ss’ learning interest and make the students learn about teamwork.

2.Learning Methods:

The independent inquiry learning method can arouse the Ss’ learning initiatives, and the students can discover and even solve the questions by themselves. So their confidence of English learning will be heightened.

IV. The Analysis of the Teaching Procedures

1. Overall Plan: Warming-up(3minutes)--- Pre-listening(13minutes)--- While-listening(15 minutes)--- Post-listening(5minutes)--- Summary(3minutes)--- Homework(1minutes)

2. Detailed Teaching Procedures and Purpose

Step 1 Warming-up:

1) Daily greetings. 2) Sing a song about traffic lights.

Purpose: Ss can relax and they will be happy to learn in this class

Step 2 Pre-listening:

1) Ask the students two questions:

①What must we do if we drive ?

②What should we do if we ride at night?

2) Lead the students to learn the new words and expressions.

3) Ask the students to finish 2b and check the answers together.

4) Discuss 2a with “if” and show the answers one by one.

Purpose:The students will be ready for the following learning and know some rules to learn English easier.
