Teaching process:

Lead in. play the number song to help ss to review the numbers.

Purpose:用英文数字歌曲激发学生学习兴趣,并且通过唱数字歌帮助学生复习学过的数字,为本课关于价格的数字打下基础。

Presentation and practice:

T shows the picture of money and guide Ss to know 1 yuan and five yuan.

(T let ss read after her and put one finger or five fingers to spell the two words together, and then T writes ”one” and “five” on the blackboard Ss write on their exercise book)

T guides ss to understand the new sentence patterns :How much is it? /:How much is one…? …yuan by creating a situation that Ss use money to go into a food shop to buy something they like. ( T writes” how much is it” on the blackboard and explains the meaning and guides ss to read after T, in groups, boys and girls, in lines, one by one)

T guides Ss to look at the food and read them together. (T paste the food cards on the blackboard)

T use how much is it/ how much is one…? to ask the price and Ss answer the price, and then change over.

Ss work in pairs to practice the sentence after T asks a student to make an example.

Some Ss show their dialogue.

T presents the picture of one donut and twelve donuts and the donut card to let ss know the difference of singular numbers and complex numbers.

T presents the sentence” I like hot dogs. My friends like donuts” by showing the pictures of the food and ask ss’ preference

T presents “ I’ll take 12, please” by talking with a student. Ss can guess the meaning of “take”. T guides ss to practice reading and translating.

T writes ‘take” on the blackboard and asks ss to spell together and write on the exercise book. T puts “ake” on the blackboard and puts letter “t” “w” ‘l” “sn” “b” “c” in front of “ake” to make ss understand how to read “ake”.

T let ss listen to the video of the story and fill in the chart.
