Step1 Pre-reading

2. Free talk: What’s your favourite season?

3.Guess: (T shows one picture )What happened in the story?

Step2 While-reading

1.Fast reading: What’s the boy’s name?

How many characters can you find?

2.Read again: What happened between John and the snowman?

John put his hat/skates on /under the snowman,

The snowman could opened its eyes/ skate.

3. Talk about the pictures: Look at this two pictures, the snowman could talk and skate, how did he feel? What’s your opinion? But in this picture, it looked sad, why?

Why was the snowman sad?(Read the last part)

4.Pairwork: Read the dialogue between John and the snowman.

John said he can help the snowman, what did John do for the snowman?

5. How about John’s mother?

Look at the picture, how did John’s mother feel? What do you think?

If you were John’s mother, what will you say and do?

Step3.After-reading

1. Retell the story

2.Gruop work: Draw and write

Draw a snowman you want, and write something about it.

Step4 Homework

Enjoying some pictures of a very famous story in the class, after class, students need to read the story and write something about the story.

教学反思:

本节课是六年级上册第二单元最后一节故事课,在本课之前内容为季节相关话题,所以对于本课内容学生有一定的语言基础。本节课通过话题导入,谈论喜欢的季节,自然过渡到本节课主题,并通过运用速读、寻读等阅读策略带领学生阅读故事了解故事内容,同时逐步梳理关键信息,引导学生复述故事,最后进行语言生成也就是小组合作绘制并想大家展示描述雪人,我觉得整体上达到了教学目标。但是在授课过程中我发现了需要改进的地方,比如在复述环节,我觉得给孩子带来局限性,一直都是在看板书复述的,这对于本班语言表达能力较强的孩子来说时有局限的,其实如果换种方式比如采用梯度式的会更好一些,更能锻炼孩子的语言表达能力。
