Step1:Warming up
T:The holiday is coming.Many people will go on a trip.Do you want to go on a trip? Where do you want to go?For me,there is a city I really want to visit—Xi’an.Have you ever been to Xi’an? If you haven’t ,that’s all right. I have a video about Xi’an.After watching it. I hope you can find out some places of interest in it.
(After showing the video, ask students to tell what they found in it and write them down on the black board .
T: Do you want to know more about these places? Today please follow me to have a trip to Xi’an.
(Aim:Motivate the students and lead students in the new concept)
Show some pictures of there places and ask so to tell the names.(Aim:To be more familiar with these places)
Step2.Presentation
1.Introduce today’s tour guide to students.The tour guide tells us our trip has two parts:
①Play in Xi’an
②Eat in Xi’an
Come to Part I . Play in Xi’an
2.Listen to the tape and tell how old is each place and which place is the oldest.
3.Read the text and fill in the chart.What they can do and what they can’t do in these places.

③It is easy to write Biang in China.
④Translate the underline sentence.
6.Show more delicious food in Xi’an to make students know more about Xi’an.
