Step 1 Presentation :

Good morning, class. How are you today? How soon will the summer holidays start? Are you all looking forward to the summer holiday? Why or why not?

Step 2 Leading in

Play a “guessing game” what season is it?

“It’s a season . It is a wonderful season. The grass turns green. There are all kinds of flowers in the field . Children can go outside to fly kites. The weather becomes warmer and warmer.” ________Spring

“It is an exciting season. There is a long holiday after the final exams.That’s a wonderful moment. You can play basketball with your friends every day.You can go swimming and eat ice cream. You can go on a trip with your family.”_______ Summer

T: What do you like to do in summer?

S: I like to go swimming. ... Eat ice creams ... Play football......

Do you want to know what’s Danny’s plan for summer?

Step 3 Listening

Play the tape, get the students to listen and write true or false.

After listening, check the answers . Make sure that the students can understand.

Step 4 Reading

Get the students to read the dialogue in roles. Boys are Danny, girls are Jenny.

After reading , Make sure that the students can understand.

Discuss in the groups and find out what things Danny will do.

Step 5 Talking

Practice the drill “will”&“be going to”

T: What will Danny do in summer?

Ss: He will go swimming.

T: What is Danny going to do?

Ss: He is going to play in the sun.

.......

Step6:Listening

Class work:Let’s Do it ! No 2

Jenny didn’t have a chance to tell Danny her plans for summer.Let’s listen to the tape and write Jenny and her family’s plans for summer.

Step 7:Work in pairs. Make a survey for your good friends' summer holiday and then talk about it.(Ss can interview anyone that you like in the classroom)
