Step 3 New Concepts (12 minutes)

T: Please write down the new words and phrases you don’t understand on the blackboard, and I will explain them.

T: Please listen to the new words and read after them. Let’s listen.(Play the tape)

T: Please read and translate these new words one by one to check for understanding.

设计意图:通过带着问题听录音让学生对课文内容有初步了解并能独立思考。经过学生自疑,教师答疑,语音跟读,做题巩固四个环节,让学生对本课的重点单词、短语及句型有了深刻的理解。

T: Please listen to the passage again and discuss with your partners about the basic steps of planting a tree.

Ask some students to say the basic steps out. Show them the steps by using some pictures.

设计意图:通过再一次听录音让学生对课文内容有更深刻的理解。经过学生讨论答题,教师图片展示,让学生对植树的步骤印象深刻。

Step 4 Exercise (4 minutes)

Give some exercises to check for understanding.

Ask students to role-play the passage in small groups.
