How was your last weekend?

Step 2. Review and lead in.

Show some photos and review phrases: rode a horse, went shopping, climbed a mountain, milked a cow, took some photos, visited a fire station and fed chickens.

Step 3. Learn new phrases

Show some pictures and learn new phrases:

studied for a test, went to the cinema, played badminton,camped by the lake.went boating,went to the beach.

Step 4. Pairwork

--How was Jim’s last weekend?

--It was great!

--What did he do last weekend?

--He studied for a test.

Step 5. Guessing game

Show some pictures and let students guess what they did.

Step 6. Match the words with the pictures.

Check the answers.

Step 7. Listen and write the day and “morning”, “afternoon” or “night” below each picture.

Step 8. Role-play.

Student A is Lucy. Student B asks Lucy about her weekend.
