Step 2

While-listening

1. Introduce the situation: Julie and her Uncle Dan are talking on the phone about their family picnic.

2. Play the beginning part of the dialogue and ask Ss to listen and answer two questions.

3. Play the beginning part again and ask Ss to catch the sentences about making a phone call.

4. Play the following part of the dialogue (twice) and ask Ss to complete Julie’s message.

(1) Ask Ss to predict.
