Step 1 Lead-in
Show a piece of funny video about animals to arouse the feeling of love for animals.
Step 2 New words
Do a guessing game. Ask students to guess what kind of animals they are according to the sound and descriptions, let the students to say the animal’s name as quickly as possible.
Step 4 Listening
1. Listen and answer the questions.
What’s this week’s Animal World about?
Which animals are in danger?
2. Listen to the tape between Lingling and Betty, then check the true sentences.
3. Listen to it again and try to answer two questions

4. Watch the flash and ask students to read after it.
Step 5 Group discussion
Work in pairs, and imagine if you are one of animals in danger, tell us your problems and how can people to help you.
When they discuss the topic, they should use some patterns, such as “To protect….we should…...”and “We need to …. to protect…..”
Step 6 Summary
So many animals are in danger now, as human being ,we should take actions to stop killing and protect the animals. Remember the advertisement by Jackie Chan: When the buying stops, the killing can too. One world, one earth, one life.
