To learn to use some writing skills in the writing procedures。

To get to know we like a person not because one’s appearance but because one’s quality inside.

重难点:

在语篇写作中运用and, but, because, with, as well, such as, for example ,especially 等词汇是写作难点。

教学方法:

1. Group-work approach(小组合作法)

2.PWP approach (Pre-writing ---While-writing -----post-writing)(分步写作法)

Teaching procedures:

Step 1.Show Learning aims.

Show the learning aims and let the students know what we are going to learn in this class.

Step2 Preview: Put the words in the right column.

Ask a student to put the words in the right column, the other students check the answers on their learning cases.

设计意图:检查并核对前置预习任务的完成情况,引出描述人物的学习任务。

Step 3. Pre-writing Activities:

Activity 1 . Ask and answer the following questions to describe someone:

第一人称

Q1. What do you look like?

Q2. What are you like?

Q3. What do you like doing?

Q4. What do you feel when ...

第三人称

Q1. What does she/he look like?

Q2. What is she/he like?

Q3. What does she/he like doing?

Q4. What does she/he feel when ...

Activity 2. Watch a video about “How to write a person”. Let the students know how to describe a person.

Activity 3. Make the passage better.
