Step 1 Lead-in

Step 2 Pre-reading

T: English is used in many countries of the world, so who owns English?(T divides the question into three sub-questions and lead Ss to talk about them.)源:】

Step 3 While-reading

1. Read and match the headlings with the paragraphs.(ask Ss to pay attention to the key words.)

2. Read Para.1 and fill in the blanks.( revision of adverbial clauses)

3. Read Para. 2 and complete the table.

4. Read Para. 3 and answer two questions.(give a picture as a hint of the second picture.)

5. Read para. 4 and fill in the blanks and then consider the question: What do you think?

6. Read Para. 5 and decide if the following statements are true or false.

Step 4 Post-reading

1. Retell the passage with the teacher.
