Step1.Warm-up
Sing a song“what are you doing?”
Step2 . Lead-in
Do you like games? Welcome to English passing game.
Step 3 The first pass Guess Guess Guess
Use guessing game to practice the present participle.
做猜词游戏，如sleep dance run cry talk play with the baby等。复习这些词，并导入What is he/she __ doing? -- He/She is __ing … What are you doing? -- I’m __ing … What are they doing? – They’re __ing 。重点呈现read the newspaper，play cards这两个词组，并练习。
Step 4. The second pass Spin Spin Spin
Now let’s make a turntable with the words.
Practice “ask and answer” in pairs like this:（综合考虑书中的图画，并融入已学单词，写在转盘上。） What’s he doing? – He is___ing. … 教师先与一名同学示范一组，再让学生师范一组，最后再让学生两人练习。
Step 5. The third pass Listen Listen Listen
Listen to the tape and fill the blank. What are the woman ,the man and Danny doing on the train?” 播放录音，第一遍听，第二遍让同学回答问题。

Read after the tape and role-play the reading.检查同学的阅读情况，进行指导。

Make up a dialogue .给出三个图片，前两个有具体人物具体动作，第三个图片，只给出场景。选择图片，6个人一组发挥想象，用上What is/am/are____ doing? – _ is/am/are___ing. 编出对话，并表演出来。
Step 8. Make a summary.
