Ⅳ.Key points and difficult points:

1) Key points: Ss will be able to listen, say and read the pronunciation of the vowels “ee” and “ea” in the following words: “feet”, “meet”, “beef”, “tea”, “read” and “eat”. Ss will be able to use the rules of spelling to spell and read these words.

2) Difficult points: Ss can understand the pronunciation rules of “ee” and “ea” and can use the rules to spell other words.

Ⅴ.Preparation: smart notebook, papers.

Ⅵ.Teaching procedure:

Step 1 Warming- up.

Sing the song “A is for apple”.

T divides Ss into two teams. Team 1 VS Team 2

T：From the song, B sounds like /b/.What about “d”, “f”, ”m”, ”r” and “t”?（见图1）

(设计目的： 通过歌曲，既可以营造课堂气氛，又可以复习四会单词中的辅音字母，为自然拼读法打下基础。本环节利用白板的配对功能，趣味性强，很好地活跃了课堂气氛。将学生分为两个team，培养学生团队合作能力和小组竞争意识，team这个单词含有ea组合，让学生初步感知ea的发音规则。)

Step2 Lead-in

T: Look at the calendar. Can you read these words?

Ss: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

T: And we call that is a _____.

Ss: Week.

T: Good. What about Sunday and Saturday?

Ss: Weekend.

T: Week+end=weekend.

T: What did I do last weekend? Guess! Yes, eating with my friends.

Let’s meet my friends.

(设计目的：通过本周的日历引出week, weekend,既点题，又让学生感知ee的发音规则。让学生猜测老师上周干什么，激发学生对老师的好奇和对课堂学习活动的兴趣，同时导入新课。与此同时，引导学生发现两个单词合在一起构成新单词的构词法。)

T:There is a story about Mr Lee. Listen carefully.

(设计目的：本故事由老师根据ee和ea的发音规则自编而成，共分为两部分Part A和part B。Part A 含有ee的单词，并配有动画，详见下面图2至图4。)
