Teaching procedure

Step 1 Review the forms of letter to introduce the content of writing part.

Review the ways of sending messages with the help of pictures, including ancient times and present. (借助希沃5的蒙层功能)

Review the forms of the letter. Eg. The address of the receiver, the date, the greeting, the main body, the closing and the signature.

The teacher show students a short message to compare the differences between the short message and the letter. At the same time learn new words: message and remind sb. about sth.

Step 2 learn the forms of the short message

Through comparison, the students conclude the forms of short message. Eg. The date, the greeting, the topic, the message, the closing, the signature.(借助希沃5画笔功能)

Complete the exercise A.

Step 3 learn to write a short message

Ask the students to to read the short message in exercise A and then finish the table .

The students complete the short messages by themselves after discussing. Then the teacher and some students comment the students’ short messages.(借助实物展台进行适当圈点评价)

Step 4 write more types of short messages

The students complete the short messages on their own after discussing.

Ask the students to comment the other students’ messages including the advantages and disadvantages.(借助实物展台进行适当圈点评价)

Step 5 the teacher make a conclusion about the whole class.

Homework

Finish a short message according to the designed situation.

Finish the practice in exercise book.
