Task-- based teaching method

Teaching procedures:

Step One: Presentation

1.通过听音乐 :Can you see the words”sing,singer?”教师可以通过下划线或彩色突出显示sing和singer这两个单词。引导学生观察并总结这两个单词词形上的变化,即sing+er----singer。

2.采用“brainstorm”让学生说出已学单词中有这种词形变化的表示人物的单词。以下单词供参考:worker , cleaner ,player等。

3.将这些单词及词形变化展示,并说:You see, we can change some words into nouns for people by adding the suffix –er. But please take a look at these words. Do we change them into nouns by adding –er?边说边板书以下单词:dance , drive , write。

引导学生做出回答:No. We add –r instead.教师说:That’s right! These words all end with an e, so we add the suffix –r to change them into nouns for people .边说边将名词板书在相应的动词旁边。

4.教师说:Now please look at these two words. How can we change them into nouns for people ?呈现act 和visit,指出有些单词可通过加后缀—or 来变成表示人物的名词:For some words , we can change them into nouns for people by adding the suffix –or . 边说边将这两个名词写在动词的旁边。

5.教师说:We can also add –ist to some words to form nouns for people.板书art和piano。指出有些单词可以通过加后缀—ist变成表示人物的名词,边说边将两个名词板书在 art 和piano的旁边,并提醒学生注意pianist的拼写。

6.让学生朗读所呈现的所有词汇。

Step two: Practice

1.让学生完成课本第77页A 部分的练习。

2.让学生互相核对答案,挑选几位学生把答案写到白板上,然后集体核对答案。

3.教师鼓励学生:You did a great job ! Now open your books and turn to page 77 . Look at Part B. Complete the sentences with the correct nouns. 让学生完成课本第77页B部分的练习。

4.核对答案,然后集体朗读所有的句子。

Step three:Explain the language points

1. make beautiful sounds 发出优美的声音

2. at bird shows 在鸟展上

3. birds in the pictures 画里的鸟

4. include birds in their poems 把鸟写进他们的诗里

5. part of our lives 我们生活的一部分

Step Four: Watch a video and discuss

How can we protect birds?

Step Five: Group Work

Try to choose any three words to make sentences to discuss if I am a…,I will … to protect the birds.

Step Six: Homework.
