【Teaching procedure】

Step I Warmer & Lead-in

This activity is designed to get ss`s attention.

①Give ss a clue about the life of one thing, ask them to guess what is that.

②Show ss a video clip about supermarket commodities, ss can guess what`s that again.

③Lead plastic bottle to ss and tell them the title of the passage.

Step II Pre-Reading

This process is to make preparations for the reading.

①Two questions:

1. What are they made of ?

2. How is this plastic bottle feeling?

②Vocabulary activation:

Show ss some pictures about the relevant things(plastic bottles, plastic bags, layer, shelf, fridge, dustbin, truck)

Step III While-reading

This section is designed to train the students’ reading skill, it is also to make the students learn more details of the text.

①Skim the passage and answer the following questions:

1. Who is the storyteller?

2. What locations did the bottle stay?

3. At the beginning of the story, what was inside the plastic bottle?

4. Was the plastic bottle recycled or reused?

②Careful-reading and answer the following questions:
