At the end of the lesson, students are expected to

1.know about the uses of electricity by applying reading strategies such as making predictions before reading, skimming for the structure of the text and scanning for specific information.

2.review the paragraph basics: the topic sentence, the concluding sentence and supporting ideas

3.improve writing skills such as brainstorming ideas and organizing them in a particular order.

4.further understand the importance of electricity and start to take small steps to save it.
