Today I invite many famous Hollywood film stars to our class. Do you know them? Which one is your favourite star? Can you guess who is Miss Zhang’s favourite star?(Emma Stone)Enjoy the pictures and the guessing game.The guessing game is used to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere and get students interested in the topic.5’2.Presentation:

T introduce Emma Stone and lead in the new vocabulary, such as all-time, actress, play the role of, catch one’s attention...Learn some new words.

Creating situation can arouse the students’ interest in the topic. More importantly, they can master the new words vividly and efficiently. Teaching the new words in a created situation is more effective and much easier for Ss to remember.3.Guide the students to read the new words after the teacher.read the new words after T.Step 2 While-reading 1.Lead in Kitty’s favourite film star Audrey Hepburn and show Ss her pictures.

5.Ss are aware of how the article organized.As we all know it is very important for students to form good reading habits, which will be of great benefit for their lifelong learning. They have to learn to skim to get the main idea and scan for the detailed information. For a biography, the title is the key, so here I guide students to pay attention to it.

To get Ss to be aware of the style or the genre of the passage as it is a useful skills while reading.

Meanwhile, working out the structure of the passage can help students train their ability of scanning and develop students’ habits of fast-reading and achieve the aim of mastering some reading skills.

1) Ask the Ss to read the whole article after the recording.Ss read after T and try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation.Reading after the recording is a way to form beautiful pronunciation and intonation, also it’s a good way to train their listening ability.14’2) Deal with each part:

(1) Get one student to read Part1 and answer the question:

(A great beauty& a great actress& a great humanitarian)Practice reading and get detailed information part by part.Students read the article several times. Each time, they have different tasks. Extensive reading will get students to achieve the general sense while comprehensive reading can improve their ability of obtaining information in details. Ask one student to read Para 2 and then ask Ss some questions and help build the mind map.
