Part 1 Teaching Material and Students Analysis

The content of my lesson is New Senior English for Chinese students Book8 Unit1 A land of diversity, in which the grammar is about revising Noun Clause. As we all know, the Noun Clause is one of the most important grammar teaching tasks in high school, which is useful and complicated. After about 2 years of study, students have already had a basic knowledge of Noun Clauses, but the purpose of studying grammar is not to do all kinds of exercises, but to learn to use it in practice. The Noun Clause as the Subject, Object and Predicative and Appositive is difficult for students in writing. In the lesson, I will combine grammar and writing so that students can get a better understanding of the Noun Clause by using.

Part 2 Teaching Aims

1. Knowledge aims

At the end of the class,

1) the students will review some of the basic rules of Noun Clause ;

2) the students will complete the tasks set by the teacher.

3) the students will learn how to use Noun Clause in writing.

2. Ability aims

During the class, students will self-study or work with peers to improve their English writing ability.

3. Emotion aims

Using multimedia means creating a positive and harmonious teaching atmosphere, and fully encourage student to think and participate in emotional activities.
