2、teaching goals

这节课的主要目的是培养学生扫读和细读的阅读技巧,使学生学会准确分析阅读问题,懂得从文章中找到关键句子摄取必要的信息,找出正确的答案。我运用多媒体和学生搜索材料主动参与学习相结合,设计了表格、问答题、判断题和信息整理题。这不仅提高学生的阅读技巧,也教会学生怎样处理不同的阅读问题。

1)Target language

The fact is that….

The question that concerned all scientists were: ….

2) Ability goals

Enable the students to describe cloning: What is the advantages of cloning??What is the problems or dangers of cloning?What is your opinion of cloning?

Help the students learn how to express opinions.

3. Teaching important points & difficult points

How to describe something about cloning.

Help the students analyze the writing techniques of the article.

4. Teaching methods?

Skimming, scanning, task-based method and debate method.

5.Teaching procedure

Step 1 Lead-in

Show the students a shot fragment from Journey to the West, it describes that two monkey king appeared. Ask the Ss which word can be used to describe the science technology ”cloning” and think about if a person the same as you appeared, what should you do? Is it good or bad?

通过展示西游记的片段,激发学生对克隆技术的兴趣和好奇心,启发学生预测课文的内容,以便通过阅读验证自己的推测。 并且思考如果遇到克隆的自己会怎样?是好是坏呢?作一简单的描述,为后面讨论的环节打基础。扣题并且引出阅读的文章学习关于克隆的知识。
