Teaching Steps:

Step 1 : Lead in

T: Let’s play a game to review what we learned yesterday. (Lead in by a picture. The teacher will give an example first.) I am the host. I want to select some students as my lucky audiences. Ask and answer questions.

T: Do you have a soccer ball?

S1: Yes, I do.

T: Does she have a soccer ball?

S2: Yes, she does.

Then the teacher select two students as the hosts, and they can select others as the lucky audiences.

Sample dialogues:

Host1: Do you have a basketball? LA1: Yes, I do.

Do you have a volleyball? No, I don’t.

Host1: Does she have a basketball? LA2: Yes, she does.

Does she have a volleyball? No, she doesn’t.

...

Step 2: Grammar Focus

Have them look at these sentences in grammar box. Read together. Then read in groups (Some of them read the Questions, and the others read the Answers).

Look at these sentences carefully. Can you find out any rules? Discuss in groups. (Divide them into small groups.) Select some students to answer the question. Read the rules together. Have them write down the rules on their notebooks.

Step 3: Section A 3a

Do exercise (3a). Select two students to fill in the chart (on PPT). Check their answers. Have them pay more attention to do and does.

Step 4: The usages of have

Show the usages of have on PPT. Select some of them to read for us. Have them write down on their books.

Practice Let’s do this exercise on PPT. Discuss in groups first and select students to fill in the blanks. Then check the answers.
