Teaching Objectives
According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus, and after studying the teaching material, the teaching aims are the followings:
1. Language knowledge
(1) To master the important words and expressions: eg. director, genius, talent, compose, tour, be known as, of all time , be impressed with, go deaf
(2) To understand the main idea of the lesson, talk about musician and get their own idea about description of persons.
2. Language skill
(1) To improve the student’s reading ability, especially their skimming and scanning.
(2) To improve the writing skills of writing a person,
(3) To practice the Ss’ speaking abilities by oral presentation.
(4)To practice Ss’ abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating
3. Emotional attitude
(1) To have a better understanding of the three great musicians, so that the Ss can learn from them.
(2) To get over the difficulty and set confidence in daily life.
The Important and Difficult Points
The important points (1) Master the new words and phrases in this period.
(2) Get the main idea of the passage.

(2) Master the reading skills about biology.
Teaching Methods
As is known to us, a good teaching method requires the teacher should help Ss develop good sense of the English language. For achieving these teaching aims, I will use the following methods
1. Communicative Approach teaching method
2. Cooperative Teaching method
3 Task-based teaching method.
The Teaching Aids: a projector and a multi-media computer system
They are for showing Ss some pictures, some audio files, some visual files, some topics or reading tasks.
