Step one: Task-giving
Give the writing task to the students at the beginning of the class,making them clear about what they are supposed to do and drawing their attention to something about school.
Step Two: Lead in and Revision
Help the students recall words and expressions concerning the school
Step Three: Reading
Ask the students to read the email and answer the questions
1) Who is writing the email?
2) Why is she writing?
3) What does she remember?
2. Ask the students to read the email again and match each paragraph and its main idea.
Step Four: discuss the questions in the email
Ask the students to discuss the four questions in the email in pairs
①.What's your first memory of school?
②.What was your favorite activity when you were in first grade?
③.What can you remember about your first teacher?
④.Who was your first best friend?Is he or she still your best friend?
Ask several students to speak out their answers
