Step 2 Say something about Confucius.
T: What do you know about Confucius?
Q1. When did he live?
Ss: He lived in the Spring and Autumn Period.
Q2. Where was he born?
Ss: He was born in the state of Lu, Shandong Province now.
Q3. What was he famous for?
Ss: He was famous for LunYu.
Q4. What about his position in the history of China?
Ss: He was a famous thinker and educator.
To learn from time to time to apply what one has learned -- isn't that a pleasure? 学而时习之，不亦悦乎？
To have friends come from far away -- isn't that a joy? 有朋自远方来，不亦悦乎？
Exploring the old and deducing (推论) the new makes a teacher. 温故而知新，可以为师矣 。
To learn without thinking is labour in vain(无效), to think without learning is desolation(荒废).
