How did these philosophers inherit(继承),develop and spread their ideas and teachings. At the same time , our students’ English level is very poor ,so most

students are not active in the class, and some students don’t like English. So the teacher should try to encourage the students to express their ideas bravely and let them work in pairs to learn how to introduce a great person and share with their classmates.

The main Task:

1.The students will be helped to improve their Reading ,writing and speaking

abilities through all kind of activities and obtain much more information about the three Philosophers of Ancient China .

Help the students to build a mind map about the passage, which will help them to learn to introduce a great person to others.

Language Focus:

In this period ,the students will learn about the following words and phrases: equal, importance, philosopher, philosophy, teaching, thinker, kindness, order, principle, position, stress, resign, adviser, influential, love, honesty, justice, be at war with bring up, etc.

Language skills:

In this period, the students will be guided to learn to introduce Great People to others , meanwhile, after learning, they will improve their speaking and writing abilities.

1.Congnitive Strategy: In this period, with the help of some pictures and a short video, the students will know much more information about the three Great people.

2. Communication Strategy: In this period, the students will be organized to cooperate with others to express their opinions about philosophers
