Teaching procedure

Step 1: Greetings

Step 2: reading (task 1) 15 minutes

lead-in 2 questions: If you want to find a job, what will you do?

When you find a job suitable for you, what will you do?

fast reading

Let students read the 5 ads and the reply letter quickly and silently within 2 minutes, and answer the question: which job is the writer applying for?

Introduce new words and expressions such as temporary, essential, contract.

group discussion

to find out the necessary information you must give when you apply for a job.

the leader of each group reports to the class and list the findings in note form on the blackboard.

Step 3: writing (task 2) 28 minutes

Ask students to choose one of the other jobs to apply for, and according to the findings above to list what they want to write on the paper.
