学情分析：

This is a science class and English is not so good as other subjects like math, so they need to practice the same type of writing repeatedly. The class is given on the basis that we have written similar type of writing twice. Thus, the aim is to review and consolidate the previous writing ability.

重点难点：

How to arrange the structure of the passage.

How to express the required information in proper and well-directed words.

To finish the writing task in given time.

Review the two similar writing assignments the students have done. (2016 四川卷；2015 安徽卷)

Part two : writing instructions

Step one: key points in writing letter for advice.

Four main types of letter for advice.

Basic writing requirements

Step two: passage structure of letter for advice.

Step three: some useful sentence structures

Part three: writing assignment for this class.

Step one: read and analyze the assignment.

Step two: write the passage according to the suggested procedures.

Step three: assess one or two students’ writing and point out the key point they should pay attention to.
