III. Teaching procedures:

to talk about how the computers have had the impact on the way they live today and lead in the topic of the module.The teacher shows a group of pictures on the screen and makes a dialogue with the students The students answer the teacher’s questions and make a dialogue.Step2. Listen and answer

to master the main idea of the essay.

Play the recording Listen to the recording of the passage and choose the best summary.Step3. Read and discuss for part1

For this procedure the students can learn about the essay for the second time to master the content more detailedly and finish the task cooperately.Guide the students to read the text.Read the essay detailedly and discuss the questions in groups and then write down the answer on the board by the representor of the group.Step4. Read and answer for part2

The teacher ask the question on their parents appoints to the using of computers and lead to the part2.Have the students find the answer of the question(Why are parents worried about their children spending too long on their computer ? ) from the text.Step5. Learning the sentence pattern appeared in the text

To Make the students know the using of the sentence pattern appeared in the text.

Have the students read sentences which are the similar sentence patterns and then describe the picture on the screen by using the key words beside the picture and sentence patterns Describe the picture on the screen by using the key words beside the picture and sentence patterns they just read.

More students repeat the sentences about the pictures description.Step6. Discuss

To use what they learn in this period to express their own ideas.Have the students use the sentence patterns they just learned as many as possible.

Work in groups of four. Choose one of the statements on the screen and discuss. The students may agree or disagree on the statements. They will give the others their own point of view and make a presentation in the front of the classroom.

Homework

Write a group report with the sentence pattern we learned this period.

V. Teaching rethink

In this period we talked about our digital life. The students mastered two parts of the essay by listening and answering the questions. I had the students read and use the typical sentences to master the sentence patterns. And work in groups to discuss some questions about the topic. And last they gave the class their own point of view by using the sentence pattern they learned.

In this period the students express their ideas positively and well cooperated.

After the period I think I should have more their sentence pattern drill around the topic to make the students master better.
