模块一 Module I Teenage experiences《Reading(1):Home alone》新课标教案优质课下载

Thoughts on the design:

本节课是以学生掌握阅读剧本的方式、理解文章细节、分析文章要点为主的阅读课的第一部分。本文是一个剧本,所以本阅读课的特色在于学会阅读剧本的方法,以及根据文章的细节去掌握每个剧本角色的人物特征和性格特点,最终达到理解文章的主题。把阅读分为两个课时去教,本课时主要集中于对剧本内容的把握和一些阅读技巧,例如,快速阅读文章抓住人物角色,大声朗读把握对剧本的阅读方式,同时体会人物的情感。精读深入文章细节,解决一些深层次问题。通过本课时希望让学生达到对文章内容融会贯通,对人物性格特点清楚把握,对剧本的阅读方式初步掌握,甚至可以进行小规模创作的理想目标。

Teaching aims:

Students will be able to appreciate the by reading and acting.

Enable the students to act the play out by cooperating with group members.

Ask students to write an e-mail to Daniel’s parents to solve the problem.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead-in

Have students discuss their own growing pains, for example, what kind of activities do their parents force them to do and what their parents forbid them to do.

Look at four comic stripes and talk about the kind of pains.

Parents and children often have different opinions about the same thing, and sometimes they even argue. Thus, introduce the topic of generation gap, which is lack of communication.

Step 2 Reading strategies

Require the students to look through the reading strategy to answer some questions on the screen.

A play usually consists of several acts and each act can have several scenes.

Things we should pay attention to:

In the form of a dialogue; read the dialogue aloud; pay attention to the instructions.

Step 3 Skimming and scanning

skimming: skim the play and find out who are the main characters in the play, what is the play about, where did the play happen and when did it happen.

Answers:

= 1 ﹨ GB3 ① Who are the main characters in the play? (Eric, Daniel, Mom and Dad.)

= 2 ﹨ GB3 ② What is the play about? (a conflict)

= 3 ﹨ GB3 ③ Where did the play happen? (at home.)

= 4 ﹨ GB3 ④ When did it happen? (we are not sure about it.)
