Teaching Procedures:
Step 1: Lead in (1mins)
Show students some pictures of something they are interested in to arouse their interest and have a free talk with them about what justice is in their mind.
Step 2: Global reading (6mins)
Go through the first paragraphs quickly and answer some questions quickly
What is the word justice usually associated with?
Why can those who seek justice never be sure that they will find it ?
When does justice seem to act like a living force?
Find some sentences which they agree with and appreciate them quickly
In this step, students have a general idea of justice and appreciate some well-written sentences about justice.
Step 3: Listening and summarize (13mins )
1. Listen to paragraph 3, some important words are missing. Ask students to fill in the blanks when listening.
2. Find the elements of this story
When; where; who; what happened; why
3. Summarize the main plot of the story in 30 words.
